Stayed overnight for one night and by far was the best experience. The history of this inn was an old railroad inn, the atmosphere was welcoming, the room was top notch, good bed, the bathroom was very clean. The hot breakfast that comes with the room was amazing. The price of the room was well worth adventuring 17 miles off the highway into the mountains. The owner was great, he welcomed us in the morning. Had great conversations. 10/10 will come here again and stay.

Had a lovely stay. The breakfast was nice. The view from the room was so peaceful – just what needed for a relaxing break. The room itself was cosy and comfortable, with a warm and homely feel. A wonderful spot to unwind, highly recommend!

Went there with a bunch of friends on a Saturday afternoon. The bartender was terrific! Handled all our drink and food orders wonderfully even though we were a large group. It was a cold afternoon so I ordered French Onion Soup. Absolutely delicious! Everyone there was so accommodating. Moved and set up a table for our group. Really made us feel welcomed there!

I needed a place to stay that was pet friendly near an event I was attending and Lakewood Lodge met the criteria! The room was simple but very clean and spacious and had everything I needed. I was worried about finding food, as the area is relatively remote, but there is a charming restaurant attached to the hotel. The hotel and restaurant staff are what really make this place. Every single person I encountered went above and beyond to be super welcoming and helpful. I have a food allergy and they made sure to check everything to keep me safe. They were also all so kind to my dog. Honestly - everyone was just so nice. Experiences like this make me so glad happy that small independent hotels still exist!!

My husband and I have been staying here for the last three years because of the easy access to the ATV trails. The rooms are cozy and clean. The restaurant food is delicious and the services is great. Finally, the management and staff are very friendly and accommodating. This has become our home away from home. PS we’re on our way there now as I’m writing this review for another great weekend :)

Lakewood Lodge and Restaurant exceeded all expectations during my recent visit. Lindsey served perfectly seasoned meatballs smothered in rich marinara sauce and gooey melted cheese with onion rings and beers with lime to drink . After eating, Jim provided me with a room upstairs. The apartment-style accommodation was spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. From the cozy bed to the well-appointed bathroom, every detail was thoughtfully designed to ensure a relaxing experience. Wish I found this place sooner!

Stopped in after an afternoon skiing at Elk since we were not up to making dinner for ourselves. Reminded us of our favorite family restaurant back home. The woman working bar and serving tables was very helpful and kind, and every bar patron that passed our table on the way to the restroom said hello. What a friendly atmosphere. We got a large pizza, hoagie, wings, and two orders of fries under 50 bucks, in the middle of the mountains. More than good enough for me. We ate the fries on the ride home and they were the perfect appetizer. The rest of the food was very good but the wings stood out. I got the hot sauce and the flavor was perfect. Warmed me right up after a cool day skiing. Thanks guys if we come back we will definitely be back
